Every toy is handmade by our team with love. When you buy one, it goes directly to a patient to lift their spirits, while all the money goes directly to the patient as well to help with medical care expenses, such as Ubers to get to their treatments, medication copays, and even a healthy meal.
You can choose to keep the toy for yourself — then we'll direct all the proceeds to the patient fund instead.
Lymphoma is one of the most common cancers among young people. When you buy a toy, it goes directly to a patient — a handmade gift and a donation, all in one.
A patient was hospitalized with a life-threatening complication of lymphoma and a stem cell transplant for almost a year. Her spirits were down, and her family didn't have the transport or money to get to the hospital to spend Thanksgiving with her — she was completely demoralized. Through a toy sale, Loops for Lymphoma raised money that helped her family get an Uber to the hospital and pay for a festive meal. The toy went to the patient — she was so happy and touched, she cried. She was able to persevere through the prolonged, almost year-long hospitalization. When she was finally ready to go home, she didn't have enough money for her medication co-pays — funds raised from the toy sale helped her pay the co-pay and finally go home.
A very sick lymphoma patient didn't show up to clinic as expected. It turned out her transportation hadn't come, and she was also running a fever and extremely unwell, with no way to get to the hospital. Loops for Lymphoma funds paid for her Uber to the ER. She was hospitalized, successfully treated, and discharged.
The lymphoma team's medical staff were participating in the Loops fundraiser and bought a dinosaur — they thought it was too cute to give up. They made it a "service animal" badge and kept it in the call room as their "emotional support dinosaur," lifting the whole team's spirits.
